Protagonist Character Synopses
Will
My main character is Will. He is small and agile, has brown hair and is very gifted in the art of stealth. He is a very quick thinker and he has to use that skill a lot in this book. He is also quite smart this enables him to find out the best strategy and be a quick thinker he also was kind of a misfit. Some other physical traits are skinny arms and legs, long hair and brown eyes. He is a realistic character.
Will is completely and utterly dynamic. Some quotes that support this are: “And just this last spring he climbed up to our third-floor study and turned to rabbits loose during one of our legal debates. Most disruptive. Absolutely!’”
This quote is in the beginning of the book.
“I think my father would be glad I chose the way I did” he said. This is at the end of the book. The change was that Will was a misfit before but he then became a serious person. The things that changed him were his training and his fight with the Kalkara. To be a ranger you need to be serious and good in battle, both these experiences gave him those traits. Both these traits are important in the series because this is an action/adventure series.

Antagonist Character Synopses
Kalkara
The main antagonists in this story are the Kalkara. The Kalkara are imbeciles, they are definitely matter over mind. they are hulking beasts that could kill 3 highly trained knights with ease. They are bear/wolf monsters with big muscles, greasy fur and piercing eyes. They are blood thirsty assassins and will kill whomever Morgarath wants dead. A quote is “Will had no idea what the kalkara might be, but judging from Halt’s expression and the reactions of Gilan and Merron
The Kalkara are Static. The only difference from before and after is the fact that the’re dead. They are monsters so they don’t talk. personalities only change in movies. Since there was no change this is a very insignificant thing in the series. These monsters also were not presented for a long time so they didn’t get enough time to really change anyway.
